"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
Sometimes, it's hard to be strong & courageous in our faith. At Ignite, middle & high school students hear the Gospel and have a whole lot of fun. Ignite is a place where students connect with God, with other students, and with older committed leaders who want to help them follow Jesus.
Who can attend Ignite?
Students 7th - 12th grade
when does ignite meet?
do you have to be a Christian to attend ignite?
Ignite welcomes everyone. We unashamedly preach and teach the Gospel, but we try hard to create an environment where everyone can belong at ignite.
Do Ignite volunteers have a background check?
All volunteers working with students and children at Gretna must have an FBI background check prior to serving.
Who Is teaching my student?
Each week, students have the opportunity to learn from Pastors, leaders, and each other. Each week, your student will clearly hear what it means to follow Jesus.
What can my student expect to do at ignite?
Usually, we open by sharing a meal provided by someone at Gretna, followed by a time of worship and discussion about God's word. Some times we break up into smaller groups for further discussion, and end with a game or two. Make no mistake - we get loud, and laugh a ton.
Can I stay with my student at IGNITE?
We welcome parents to serve as volunteers if you are interested in sharing the experience with your student. To let us know you want to serve, contact the Gretna office to get the background check process started.
how can I stay up to date on what is going on at ignite?
We would love to keep you up to date! Send your contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be added to the list. We send out monthly emails, and occasional texts to keep our parents informed.
