Whether you are first looking toward Jesus, rediscovering your faith, or wanting to live more like Jesus, the journey is both personal, and communal. We believe that we are each called to apprentice to Jesus throughout our lives - no one else can do it for you (that’s the personal part). We also believe, though, that He created the Church so that we can help one another along the way (the communal part). In fact, much of the transformation Jesus offers us can only be done in community.
It doesn’t matter where you are in your relationship with Jesus - we all have a next step in the journey. At Gretna, we are learning to travel it together.

Following Jesus isn’t something we accomplish—it’s a lifelong journey of apprenticeship - drawing closer to Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing as Jesus did. He created the Church because He knew we would need one another to travel the journey well.
